Happy Mother's Day
Whether your child has two legs or four or the child you mother is yours or someone else's. Whether you feed the hungry or smile at a person in need. Whether you have 1 child or a country of people to care for, Happy Mother's Day. Mothers, conventional and unconventional, Happy Mother's Day!!!!
My friend (the one who arrived with a laudry basket full of food a couple of weeks ago) arrived at my door yesterday with her 12 year old son, gardening tools and a flat of flowers. They weeded and planted my front garden (and brought candy...orange slices...)
When I go on my next outing, I can't wait to see how everything looks! Isn't lilac season a wonderful time of year? I have some summery Liberty fabric to show you soon and I am working on the birds from Last Minute Patchwork Gifts...7 down, 3 to go.
Lilacs down, Lilies of the Valley next... Thank you for visiting Hollyhocks.
23 weeks, 5 days
Edited to Add: If you live in the Western New York/Southern Ontario area, tune in to News 4 Buffalo Tuesday at 5 PM for a segment on local craft bloggers featuring Polka Dot Bug and Mr. Monkey Suit (she of the huge and incredibly neatly folded fabric collection. Josie is a transplant from England. Thanks England!!!!)

Happy mother's day to you! I like how you kept the definition so broad - it's all about a loving heart. Hope you're doing well!

A belated Happy Mother's Day to you, Vicki hope it was filled with flowers and fabric. Thanks for the tip about the segment, I wasn't sure myself when it was going to air. Frankly I am not sure whether I should be excited or not....I am not sure I want to see myself on t.v. at all. I hope you are keeping well. xxx

How lovely to have friends come and do your garden. I love lilac too though we just have the white one in our garden.

Howdy! This is an OT reply to your post, forgive me! I'm MIA lately because I am in the hospital for the duration of the pregnancy. . . babes are doing well. It's my amazing disappearing cervix. If it gives you hope, I've been .9 to 1.4 cm length, 1 cm plus dilated, 70% effaced for three weeks! Lots of painless contrax. We're 30 weeks on Thursday. What can a gal do besides stay in bed?
How are you? Saw you swapped your docs out. I don't blame you! Updates are slower I know, but I think of you and your precious little babes!
