That's what my grandfather used to say when you stopped by for a visit. We use an electric kettle now, but it doesn't seem quite right. There's something very organic and ritualistic about turning a fire on under the kettle to boil the water for tea...
The twins are speaking in two word "sentences" now and one of Kitten's first observations was to point to my cup and say "Mama Tea". I am not the most exciting Mama in the world...Oh, well, at least it wasn't "Mama Vodka". That would be tough to explain to the day care ladies...
I was absent from here for a while and I'll tell you why. Once the twins were born, the blog went from "Day in the Life and Vintage" to place-where-people-who-know-me-in-real-life-and-family-come-to find-photos-of-the-twins"...and I felt like I had to censor what I wrote. That felt weird so I stopped writing. But, I missed the people who came here to say hello and it isn't enough to just read your blogs because the forum is about having a conversation...
There, now that that has been said, I'll have to sort out the whole photo thing so people can get those.
Here in real life, Josie and I met for tea a couple of weeks ago and brainstormed new ventures for her following her year in NYC for the DH's Fellowship. It was such fun to come up with ideas and, as always, visits with Josie are good for the soul. It occurred to me that even though she's a Stay-at-Home Mom and I am a Work-Outside-the-Home Mom, we have most things in common...or so we'll see.
Josie and I have decided to each post a loose diary of sorts this week to see what we both do all day. We know that each choice has its benefits and its drawbacks already, but it will be fun to see how the other spends her time.
If you have a minute, Stop in and visit...
